CHILD & ADOLESCENT COUNSELING

Child and adolescent counseling in general terms includes the evaluation of emotional, cognitive and behavioral processes experienced during childhood; We can define it as supporting the child with psychotherapy intervention when needed.

Considering children's individual development, life stories, ages and living conditions

It is very important to support them in the issues they need support with a relationship centered on unconditional acceptance and trust. Getting professional support for difficulties encountered during developmental periods helps strengthen the problem-solving and coping skills of both the child and the caregivers.

The problems experienced by children during adolescence in establishing their identity, knowing themselves and becoming an adult often put a strain on families. During this period, difficulties may be encountered in friendship, education, family and social areas; There may be deterioration in the relationship between the child and the caregiver. In order to ensure a healthy process, sessions are held in which caregivers are also included, in addition to one-on-one meetings with the child or adolescent.

Child and adolescent interviews include needs-based studies, especially on traumatic experiences, peer relationships, sibling jealousy, childhood fears, self-confidence problems, anger management skills, communication skills and impulsive behaviors.

We know that the right intervention at an early age positively affects children's developmental stages and adulthood. We are here to accompany both you and your child when you feel that something is not going well or is different with your child, when you experience difficult life events, or when you need to support your child's coping skills.
